What is WAC?

WAC stands for Wrestling & Combat and is a WPBM (wrestling-play-by-mail/e-mail) game. For people new to WPBM, basically you design a fictional wrestler(s) and manage him as a manager would manage a wrestler in real life. You would organize match strategy and tactics, devise some interesting storylines or angles for your characters and write any character interviews or skits to get your character over to the fans. You would then face other players' characters and by defeating them work your way up the rankings, once your character reaches the top of the rankings you will be able to compete for the federation's titles.

Playing in WAC, step by step:
1.    Upon your request of WAC details I will send you the latest WAC magazine for your interest and an entry form(s) should you decide you want to join the game.
2.    Design your character and fill in the WAC Entry Form. See pages 3 and 4 for more information on the specific character details that are required.
3.    Send your complete entry form back to myself with either turn fees for 1 month (try out contract) or 3+ months (standard contract), you will find pricing details on page 6. Also enclose your match strategy/tactics for your first bout and any character interviews or skits. Information on your opponent can be found in the previous months match summaries in the WAC magazine.
4.    I will write up all match reports and will send the next issue of the WAC magazine to all players with any match reports for that month.
5.    The cycle then begins again with you sending another set of tactics for your following match, I write the matches and send you another WAC magazine and so on.

Tactics
With regard to match tactics, they should be no longer than about 400 words (that's about half a sheet of A4 at font size 10). The reason I have put a limit on tactics size is to speed up game turnaround, players able to write tactics quicker and get back to me quicker. I also feel that any good player should be able to get their strategy over with this word limit, after all everyone could write pages and pages of tactics with every conceivable counter for every single hold, but does this make a great strategist?

Match Reports / Summaries
Match reports will be between 800 to 1400 words long - no matter what match or show your character competes in he will receive a full A5 match report.
Match Summaries will be on average 200 to 300 words long - all the months matches will be summarised in the Warefare Magazine, the only exception being if the match is a feature match, in that case the full match report will be printed in the Warefare Magazine.

Match Results
Match results will be decided by two criteria:
1)    Strategy and tactics - If you outthink and anticipate your opponent you will have a definite advantage and would be favoured to win your match.
2)    Angles and storylines - If you can come up with a innovate storyline or angle that will interest the fans and build more heat for your wrestler then the bookers would favour you to win.

Interviews
This could be a big part of your characters evolution. Here you can build your character, become more loved or hated by the fans, giving you more heat and more leverage with the bookers. You could devise intricate storylines here allowing you to take more control of your characters destiny. You could build up feuds and get a psychological edge against upcoming opponents. As in real life, if you can work the microphone you are probably more likely to get a big push, as TV is big part of today's wrestling industry.
